Passage Preparation™ has been named the winner of the 2026 CODiE Award for Best Professional Learning Platform! Presented annually by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiE Awards honor products and services that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and meaningful impact across the edtech landscape. This recognition affirms what we have believed from the beginning: the education profession demands high standards for entry, and we believe every candidate deserves access to high-quality, purposeful preparation resources and platforms to demonstrate their readiness to meet those standards.

A Vision Rooted in Purpose

Passage Preparation was created in 2022 with a focus on ensuring that educator licensure candidates have the tools, content, and support they need to successfully complete their educator licensure assessments in one convenient platform. From the outset, our approach has been intentional: every course, every resource, and every feature on our platform is designed by subject matter experts with deep knowledge of the content and pedagogical skills each assessment measures.

We launched our first courses aligned to educator licensure assessments in Texas in early 2023. Within that same year, we expanded our catalog to include courses aligned to Praxis® and a growing number of state licensure programs. What began as a focused regional offering quickly grew into a national platform.

Growth Driven by Impact

Today, Passage Preparation offers over 800 courses delivered across the United States, supporting more than 250,000 educators on their licensure journeys. Our platform serves a broad range of customers — from individual teacher candidates preparing on their own, to hundreds of educator preparation programs and state and local education agencies that integrate our courses into their institutional support structures.

This scale is the direct result of a commitment to building a platform that is genuinely effective and convenient. Expanding Through Strategic Partnerships

In addition to our direct-to-educator offerings, Passage Preparation has grown through meaningful partnerships that extend our reach and deepen our impact. Most notably, we are proud to partner with Evaluation Systems of Pearson to deliver Right Start™ courses — a suite of learning experiences that help candidates verify and strengthen their knowledge in key areas of educator subject matter and pedagogical expertise. This collaboration brings together Pearson’s leadership in educator credentialing assessment with Passage Preparation’s expertise in instructional course design, creating a powerful resource for candidates across multiple state programs.

We also serve hundreds of educator preparation programs and local education agencies that integrate our platform into their candidate support infrastructure, providing institutional access to our full course library and enabling program faculty to direct candidates toward targeted, assessment-aligned preparation.
